When I was in N.Z (love it) I thought the food was mainly fish and chips stands run by Asians.

Deep-fried candy bars and balaclava were just too much for my system.

But the blueberry products at Mamaku were worth going back for!

Try the Red Back (pub with food) in Acton Town. There's also one called the Kiwi Kitchen out that way, too. But I don't have any more details. I read an article about the place and it looked like the genuine article (I'm a Kiwi). A quick Google search for the name should sort you out. Cheers!
